BSW turkeys are strong, active and inquisitive foragers with healthy immune systems, and charming, gentle personalities. The commercial poults are delicate, and require drugs and specialized environmental control to avoid heavy mortality.
BSW poults do well on a non-medicated 20% waterfowl starter, and graduate to non-medicated 17-18% grower ration for waterfowl when they are 4-6 weeks and can handle the larger particles.
